May Gum Paste and Fondant, Course 3; Thurs. 5/10, 17, 24, 31, 6-8 p.m; sign up at Michaels in the Staples Plaza, Williston Rd, S. Burlington, VT at least 24 hours in advance of class. Learn to make a large bow, calla lily, carnation, daisy, mum and rose along with covering a cake board and cake in fondant. Prerequisite: Wilton Course 1, Decorating Basics, or prior cake decorating experience. (Class subject to cancellation if minimum number of students is not met)
May: Advanced Gum Paste Flowers, Course 4, Tuesdays, 5/8, 15, 22, 29; 6 to 8 p.m. We will only be making gum paste flowers in this class, no cake. Learn to make a beautiful blossom, the stephanotis, stephanotis bud, ivy leaves, gerbera daisies, the briar rose, ever so sweet sweet peas and the gorgeous stargazer lily, all wired flowers!!!! Sign up at Michaels in the Staples Plaza at least 24 hours prior to class - class subject to cancellation if minimum number of students is not met. Don't miss this one! Class dates for May: Monday, 5/7, 14, 21, 30, 6-8 p.m. Class size is limited, so hurry in and sign up at Michaels in the Staples Plaza, Williston Rd, S. Burlington, VT at least 24 hours in advance of class. Learn all the basics of leveling, torting and icing a cake, star fill-in, shell border, rosette, drop flower, writing and printing and the ribbon rose. We will also learn how to fill and ice cupcakes and make a pom-pom flower and the buttercream icing shaggy mum!
