      We will be working mainly with royal icing to make the Wilton rose, the rosebud, violet, apple blossom, primrose and lily, we will get an introduction to fondant and gum paste making a gum paste button flower and pansy and we will make one cake in lesson 4 and learn the basketweave technique!

Tall Cakes Project Class

Tall Cakes Project Class, Sat. 4/16, 9:30 to 12:30, $20 Registration.  Students bring a 2-layer 10" cake and a 2-layer 6" cake iced and any decorations for their chosen design (premade icing flowers, etc.).  Class will consist of instruction on stacked construction and plate and pillar construction.   Students will construct and decorate their cake in the construction style of their choice.  This is a one-session class.  Supply sheet should be given out at registration.

Tall Cakes Project Class, Sunday, 1/23/11, 1-4 p.m.  Students will bring a 2-layer 10" and 2-layer 6" iced cake and will assemble and decorate in the style of their choice.  Stacking methods will be taught, straight stacking and stacking on the plate and pillar system.  One 3-hr. class, $20 registration, supplies extra.  Prior decorating experience or Decorating Basics class a prerequisite.  Sign up at least 24 hours in advance of class.  Class subject to cancellation if min. number of students is not met.  (Supply sheet handed to students at registration.)
